The American Islamic Fellowship (AIF) was founded to provide an open forum and a spiritual community for the diverse people of faith. When our organization was founded, we purposely put words in our by-laws so anyone, regardless of sexuality, would understand they could freely participate in worship and be valuable members of our community. We are not alone.
AIF is affiliated with a coalition of Muslim groups who are working to show individuals that, regardless of the approach to one's beliefs, there is a place to treat LGBTQQI people with respect and love.
AIF Gives a Damn because we passionately believe a person should be able to practice one's beliefs without fear and we believe practices that lead to fear, to retribution and to death have no place in the world (or religion) and need to be reassessed and eradicated.
